Recruitment agency cost calculator
A recruitment agency fee is normally a percentage of the hire’s first-year salary. Enter the salary, how many hires you plan and the percentage you have agreed, and this calculator estimates the fee per hire and the total for the year.
How are recruitment agency fees usually structured?
Most commonly as a contingency fee: a percentage of the hire's first-year salary, invoiced only when someone starts. Retained search is instead billed in stages across the search, regardless of outcome.
We do not publish a “typical” percentage. It varies by country, seniority, function and volume agreement, and any single number we quoted would be a guess presented as a benchmark. Use the rate in your own agreement.
What is the alternative to paying per hire?
Running the search yourself with software that does the sourcing work, at a subscription cost that does not scale with salary or with the number of hires.
tamo.ai searches the DACH market for your role, evaluates and ranks candidates against your requirements and runs personalised outreach from your own LinkedIn account after you approve who to contact. See what a role costs and compare it with the number above.
